The Five-Tails wondered if something was wrong with its eyes. Or maybe it had been imprisoned for so long that it was unaware of the huge changes in the outside world. Had the times changed? Do ninjas now have such advances?
The gigantic metal thing before it was something it had seen before. The mere mention of the name Uchiha Madara would fill it with fear. He piloted a blue Susanoo, gripping its throat as if it were a helpless chick. This metal version of the Susanoo in front of it was now smaller than Madara's and lacked the same terrifying chakra waves, but the Five-Tails still felt a primal fear. It was a fear etched into its DNA.
"Oh my God, what is that monster..." "It's even bigger than a tailed beast, made of metal..."
The sudden appearance of the Jaeger, Gypsy Danger, stunned not only the Five-Tails but also all the ninjas on the battlefield. They all stared up in awe and fear at the enormous metal Gundam. Its robust, imposing design, combined with the glowing yellow light from its chest, suggested that even a casual punch could move mountains and fill valleys. Compared to this behemoth, the once imposing Five-Tails seemed like a malnourished long-legged cat.
Amidst the shock and fear, a strange feeling rose in many of the ninjas on the battlefield. The thought of entering and controlling such a metal beast filled them with a sense of longing they couldn't quite explain.
Gypsy Danger moved! Its massive metal arm reached down, aiming to grab the Five-Tails by the throat. The Five-Tails reacted like a cat whose fur had been ruffled, leaping away from the gigantic hand. The metal hand crashed into the ground, causing a tremor and leaving a huge palm print. The Five-Tails felt a chill run down its spine. Being hit by such a creature would not be an ideal scenario.
Steam erupted from its backside, propelling it swiftly to the flank of the Jaeger, where it launched a powerful kick. This move, combining steam propulsion with muscle power, had once sent a golden-armoured Kurama flying. But against Satoru, things were different. Not to mention Gypsy Danger's immense weight, Satoru also applied electromagnetic force to the Jaeger, making its metal feet grip the ground and anchor the massive body with the Earth's magnetic field.
With a resounding clang, Gypsy Danger barely took a step back, suffering no damage. The Five-Tails' furious attack, in comparison, was like an upset cat swiping at its owner's chest. Using electromagnetic propulsion, Gypsy Danger's speed dramatically increased as it charged at the Five-Tails. Piloting such a massive metal, Gundam consumed enormous amounts of chakra. Luckily, Satoru had replicated a nuclear power reactor in Gypsy Danger's chest. Of course, it wasn't true nuclear fission, as current electromagnetic forces couldn't achieve that. Instead, it was a high-intensity electromagnetic furnace, continuously supplying energy to the Jaeger, significantly reducing Satoru's personal consumption.
Real men pilot Gundams! Gypsy Danger charged at the Five-Tails, each step causing the ground to tremble. The Five-Tails felt paralyzed, its fur standing on end like a cat puffing up. Its pride as a tailed beast wouldn't allow it to retreat! It pushed off with all four legs, its sharp horn gleaming as it slid towards Gypsy Danger's abdomen. Wham! The momentum abruptly stopped as two huge metal arms clamped around its throat, pinning it to the ground. Its front legs buckled under the immense pressure.
The Five-Tails wanted to cry but couldn't. This wasn't what it had imagined. It had thought its sliding kick was powerful! Satoru sneered. Among the Nine different tailed beasts, the Five-Tails was neither the weakest nor the strongest, roughly in the middle. Its taijutsu attacks primarily involved kicks and horn thrusts, with considerable power when combined with steam acceleration. But using physical attacks against a metal, Gundam was incredibly foolish. The Five-Tails' attacks could, at most, knock the Jaeger over but wouldn't cause significant damage. Electromagnetic force could repair any damage instantly. However, the Five-Tails lacked the strength to topple the Jaeger. The absolute advantage in weight, combined with the electromagnetic force anchoring it to the ground, gave the Jaeger immense stability and impact resistance. The added boost from electromagnetic propulsion ensured it wasn't outmatched in speed either. With all these factors, the Five-Tails couldn't win a physical confrontation against Gypsy Danger.
Realizing this, the Five-Tails accepted reality. It lifted its head, black and purple chakra gathering in its mouth, preparing a Tailed Beast Bomb at point-blank range. Wham! A metal fist interrupted, making it choke back the attack. Wham! Another fist landed. The Five-Tails struggled, its four legs scraping at the ground in frustration.
"Human, have the guts to let me go!" Wham! Wham! Wham! The gigantic metal fists continued to rain down. The Five-Tails felt dizzy, the sound of metal clanging echoing in its ears, tiny stars seemingly circling its head.
"Good heavens... is that really a tailed beast?" The watching ninjas couldn't help but feel a bit strange. The terrifying image of the tailed beasts had always been deeply ingrained in their minds, but the current scene looked more like an owner disciplining their cat.
"So strong! That metal monster is so cool and powerful!" Although they didn't know the name of the metal monster Satoru was piloting, the idea of piloting a Gundam themselves was now firmly planted in their minds.
Finally, after being pummeled by dozens of punches from Gypsy Danger, the Five-Tails' horn snapped. "Ahhh! How dare you, human..." Its voice was hysterical. While tailed beasts had no clear gender, they possessed a sense of self, and the Five-Tails identified as female. Having its horn broken was like being disfigured. Enraged, it howled, its previous humiliation exploding in fury. It didn't use the Tailed Beast Bomb, knowing Satoru wouldn't give it the time to charge. Instead, it released a torrent of white steam, engulfing Gypsy Danger and rapidly spreading across the battlefield.
Satoru controlled the Jaeger to release the Five-Tails, retreating to avoid the steam. Compared to physical attacks, the high-temperature steam posed a greater threat. Metal conducted heat well, causing steam to quickly condense into water droplets on the Jaeger's surface, which would affect the precision of electromagnetic control. The Five-Tails took the chance to get up, shaking its still-dazed head. "Human... die!"
It opened its mouth wide, rapidly gathering black and purple chakra. A Tailed Beast Bomb? At this range, it would have to be deflected somehow. Satoru's expression grew serious. Wait... Suddenly, a smirk appeared on his face. The Five-Tails, still charging its attack, noticed the surrounding white mist dissipate. Almost simultaneously, a choking sensation hit it, making it hard to breathe. Sparks shot out from the ground beneath it. The Five-Tails' heart skipped a beat, a strong sense of danger flooding over it. Boom! Blue flames engulfed it completely.
Satoru, now at a safe distance, watched with a smile. "Water vapour is easier to electrolyze than regular water, after all. Thanks to my middle school chemistry teacher for bringing nuclear peace to the ninja world."
