Bab 37: Chapter 37 This Monkey Thinks of Something Again

"Are you the one who came to meet me?"

Sun Wukong, still wary, asked the monk before him.

"Indeed, Benefactor, please rest assured!"

The monk nodded in affirmation.

Sun Wukong narrowed his eyes but showed no immediate intention of handing over anything nor any desire to release his clone.

Then, with a flash, Sun Wukong darted past the monk and entered the Western Pure Land.

A rich Buddha's light shone all around.

"It seems the Benefactor does not trust this poor monk!"

The monk said with a wry smile, his palm shining with Buddha's light as an oil lamp appeared in his hand.

Though it was only an oil lamp, it contained a rich Buddha power that dissipated malevolent energies.

"This object is the Treasure Lamp from before our Buddha, imbued with the effect of exorcising demons and cleansing spirits!"

The monk spoke and threw the Treasure Lamp to Sun Wukong, who caught it and felt the intense Buddha power emanating from it, which noticeably purified his mind and spirit.
