"You little troublemaker, you scared me to death! I told you not to run off, I won't like you anymore!"

She scolded, though her nose had already turned sour.

Though her lips claimed dislike, her hands had already drawn the little creature close, pressing her face against its soft fur.

Li Hannian stood on the floor, his entire body dripping with water, yet the corners of his lips lifted in relief.

Lifting her face from the little creature, Chu Nanxi's gaze fell once again on Li Hannian.

The man standing in front of her was covered in mud and dirt, with spots on his face and in his hair, his shirt torn in several places, utterly disheveled.

Imagining him braving the rain in the forest searching for the little creature, her heart filled with remorse.
