Bab 42: Chapter 42: Sprint Race

"Damn it!" Chen Chen, bursting with anger, roared, "Are you going to race or not!"

"Like I said," Xiao Han said with a smile, "only if you put up a substantial reward!"

"How much do you want?" Chen Chen shouted.

"How much do you think your strength is worth?" Xiao Han retorted, "I've never trained for sprinting events, and you are the city sports meet's 100-meter record holder. How much money do you think you can come up with to race me?"

"Damn!" Chen Chen bit his lip and said, "You guys, collect some money."

"Is that all?" Xiao Han was unimpressed.

Chen Chen felt as if he'd been provoked; he shouted angrily, "Can you put up more?"

"Me? I wouldn't dare to step out without two or three thousand on me," Xiao Han said as he took out more than two thousand from his pocket.
