He had noticed a significant change in his son's aura, which now carried a powerful confidence.
"It's normal at my age. You probably didn't notice because we rarely see each other," Chen Ye lied smoothly.
"Is that so?" His father felt a pang of guilt. "I should have been there more for you."
"I didn't mean it like that. I just want you to have a healthier job. You're not young anymore and can't keep working nights."
"You're right. I'll listen to you," his father nodded.
Chen Ye, satisfied, said, "You rest well. I'm off to school."
