"Answer me, Alessia. What if I make him disappear from the face of the earth? Will you be with me?" Xavier asked, his voice dangerously low.
"Xavier, please calm down," Alessia said as she moved inward on the bed.
Holding onto her right ankle, he dragged her back to him and leaned forward until their foreheads touched. Breathing hard, as if trying to restrain himself, he spoke. "When you're with me, don't think about anyone else but me, or I'll do things to you that'll make you unable to think of anything else but me."
Alessia's breath hitched as her eyes darted around. "Let's enjoy the time we have now. What lies ahead of us is unimaginable."
