Bab 14: Chapter #14: Ye Guang's departure

Ye Chen hurriedly left the library, his mind racing with the possibilities of his new technique. As he made his way through the grand hallways, he couldn't help but feel a sense of panic. He had been so busy in his studies at the library that he had lost track of time, and totally forgot about his younger brother and sister.
As he stepped into the courtyard. He managed to spot Ye Wenling and Ye Guang practicing their own techniques under the watchful eye of a few royal guards.
"Big brother!" Ye Wenling exclaimed, noticing him first. She paused her practice, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Where have you been? You forgot about us, didn't you?"
Ye Chen rubbed the back of his neck, feeling guilty. "I'm really sorry, Wenling. I got so absorbed in the library that I lost track of time."
Ye Wenling pouted, crossing her arms then huffed. "Hmph!" the she looked away from Ye Chen.
Ye Chen knelt down and hugger her from behind, "I know and I'm really sorry. It's just that, I found something incredible in the library. Can you forgive me?"
Ye Wenling's expression softened slightly, but she still looked sulky. "You better make it up to us, big brother."
Ye Chen chuckled, ruffling her hair despite her attempts to swat his hand away. "I promise, Wenling. I heard from the guards that there's good restaurant not far from the castle. Would you like to come with me tomorrow?"
As a foodie, Ye Wenling was intrigued. "You promise, big brother?"
Ye Chen nodded. "I promise, but first, it's already late, lets head back to our quarters."

Ye Chen replied with a nod then went inside, hold the tiny hands of Ye Wenling while Ye Guang followed closely from behind. The corridors were lit by flickering torches, casting a warm glow on the walls. The siblings' footsteps echoed softly as they made their way inside the manor dedicate to them.
Upon reaching their quarters, Ye Chen gestured for his siblings to sit down. He took a deep breath, knowing that what he was about to share was important.
"There's something I need to talk to you both about," Ye Chen began, his tone serious. "I found an incredible technique in the library, the Celestial Dragon Ascension Technique. It's powerful and will surely enhance my cultivation, but requires intense focus and dedication."
Ye Wenling and Ye Guang exchanged curious glances, both eager to hear more."
Ye Chen continued, "I plan to enter a retreat to fully integrate this technique. It make take more than a month to finish. During this time, I'll need to be completely isolated, which means I won't bel able to spend time with you during those time.
Ye Wenling's smile on her face fell, her earlier excitement quickly disappeared. "But, big brother, what about the restaurant you promised?"
Ye Chen patted his chest. "Don't worry Ye Wenling, I'll surely take you there before I start with my retreat."
Ye Guang on the side pulled the side of his robe. "What about me?"
Ye Chen smiled warmly and placed a hand on Ye Guang's shoulder. "Of course, you too, Ye Guang. We'll all go together. This is our time to relax and have fun before I focus on my training."
Ye Guang's face lit up, and nodded. "Alright, big brother." but after remembering something, his eyes dimmed.
"Great," Ye Chen said, standing up and looking at both of his siblings. "Now let's get some rest. Tomorrow will be a special day for us."
The next day, Ye Chen naturally fulfilled his promise. He took Ye Wenling and Ye Guang to the renowned restaurant near the castle. The three siblings enjoyed a day filled with delicious food, laughter, and bond. The restaurant was bustling with activity, thankfully the restaurant also has private rooms, and they took one where they relaxed and enjoyed their meals. The table was filled with dishes of all kinds, from savory roasted meats to sweet pastries and the siblings delighted in tasting everything.
Ye Wenling's eyes sparkled as she tried each dish, "This is the best food I've ever had!" she exclaimed, as she gnawed at the meat the size of her arms.
Amidst the laughter and chatter, Ye Guang suddenly grew serious. He put the his chopsticks and cleared his throat, drawing attention of his siblings. "I have something important to tell you both," he began, his voice filled with sadness.
Ye Chen and Ye Wenling exchanged curious glances before focusing on Ye Guang. "What is it, Ye Guang?" Ye Chen asked curiosly.
Ye Guang took a deep breath. "My master is leaving the Star Empire, and I'm not sure when I'll be back after leaving with him. There's so much I need to learn and many placed I need to go, to improve my skills, and only by following my master can I do such things. This is something I must do for myself and the promise I made for our family."
Ye Wenling's face fell, her eyes glistening with tears. "But... but you'll surely be gone for so long." she said, her voice trembling. "I don't want to be alone again, like back when I was at the Heavenly Sword Sect."
Ye Guang reached out and gently squeezed her hand. "I know, Wenling, and I'm sorry. But this is something I have to do. We all have our paths to follow. But remember, no matter where I am, we'll always be connected. And I'll do my best to return as fast as possible."
Ye Chen nodded, understanding the importance of Ye Guang's decision, "We'll support you, Guang. Just promise to stay safe and come back to us.:
"I promise," Ye Guang said with a determined smile.
As the meal continued, Ye Wenling's mood remained somber. Her thoughts drifted and recalled the time she had felt at the Heavenly Sword Sect. She knew that feeling too well and did not want to experience that again.
She noticed that her grandfather, Zhu Yongzheng entered the manor.
Zhu Yongzheng approached her. "Wenling, there's someone who might help ease your loneliness," he said gently.
"Who?" Ye Wenling asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Your mother, it has also been a long time since she returned to the Star Empire. And I'm sure that with her here, you'll surely have someone you can talk to whenever you want."
"Right!" She exclaimed, completely forgetting about his mother's past in the empire because of the loneliness she'll inevitably experience again. "I forgot about mom." She started jumping on the bed, then she took out a jade talisman with strange symbols glowing in its surface from her space bag.
After fiddling with it, the glow on the talisman increased, "What? After being in the Star Empire, you disregarded your mother huh?" a delicate voice came from the talisman.
Ye Wenling's eyes lit up. "Mother! I missed you so much!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "I didn't mean to disregard you. I was just too busy settling down here."
Ye Xinyue's voice on the other end softened. "I understand, my dear. I've missed you too."
"Mother, can you come here? I need you here, I feel so lonely." Ye Wenling pleaded, her voice trembling with emotion.
"Why? Where's your brothers? Ye Xinyue asked.
Ye Wenling sighed, her excitement dimming slightly. "Well... Big brother said that he'll start his retreat tomorrow and he needs a month or more to finish it, he said that he discovered something incredible in the library that if he ever comprehended and used that technique, his strength would surely go up by many levels."
Taking a deep breath, she continued:
"As for Ye Guang... he decided to leave and follow his master. He has so much to learn, and we believe that this choice would the best for him."
"OH, Wenling, I understand now. It must be hard for you." Ye Xinyue's voice was filled with concern, knowing about her daughter's personality.
"It is, Mother," Ye Wenling admitted, her voice cracking. "I don't want to feel that way again, like I did at the Heavenly Sword Sect. I need you here with me."
There was a brief silence before Ye Xinyue responded, her voice resolute. "Then I will come to the Star Empire, Wenling. I can't bear the thought of you being alone.
Ye Wenling's heart soared with joy. "Thank you, Mother! I can't wait to see your beautiful face."
"Alright alright, enough with the flattery, I'll start making arrangements right away, and it won't be too long." Ye Xinyue assured her.
"Hehe..." She chuckled, "Anyways mom, you should leave early, Ye Guang said that he'll leave this week, and their destination would be right next to our 'domain' he said."
As the talisman dimmed, Ye Wenling felt a renewed sense of hope and excitement. She clutched the talisman slightly, her heart filled with anticipation.
Meanwhile, Zhu Yongzheng, who had been quietly observing from a distance, was filled with expectations. Just the thought of meeting his daughter after years apart brought a soft smile to his face. He had long hoped for a reconciliation and the restoration of their family bonds.
