"Sorcery?" He asked, he didn't want to somehow mention he knew what it was.
"Hmm" she hummed with a nod, not answering his question "Will you follow me?" She said as she gestured to the portal. He couldn't help but feel incredibly stupid by accepting her offer with a nod.
But if he could build a potential friendship with The Ancient One, then well that's an incredible person to have on his side.
So he walked through the portal, watching her fingers for a hint of a twitch or energy. But nothing, he walked through the portal only to come to a luxury room.
The wooden walls were dark with beautiful tapestries covering them, the floor was a dark red with two large pillows on the floor with a small table between them.
She sat down crossed leg and gestured to the pillow across from her, he sat down gracefully.
"Sorcery is simply put, using the energies of our dimension and others to do incredible things" her hands sparked with orange energy as she created a shield Mandela that glowed vividly.
He studied it curiously, that was rather interesting now that he's looking at it while sensing the energies in the shield.
"But you're not interested in that, or sorcery" She said suddenly as the shield fizzled out and she stared at him with a small smile.
Aerion blinked before shaking his head "I must admit I'm rather busy as is, and as I understand it this is an art form of its own" he said as he wryly smiled. "It would take quite a lot of time to master it"
Her serene smile was still on her face "So, what is it you want Aerion Odinson?" She asked, even though she brought him here?
"I want a way to protect myself if these spiritual gods attack me or any spiritual creature attacks me" he said honestly, he did know that not many would dare attack him.
He was an Odinson, that was not just a name.
It was a warning.
Odin was undoubtedly far more powerful than anything residing on Earth by a margin so large that it was almost inconceivable.
That didn't stop Gods from being stupid however.
The Ancient One nodded "That is rather important isn't it" she said as she summoned a cup of tea to her hands "The easiest way, if you have no morality is to simply go after worshippers" she said as she took a sip of the tea once more.
Aerion frowned, killing a bunch of random worshippers seemed…well a bit manic. The Ancient One quickly put her tea down on the table. "Many spiritual creatures and Gods gain strength from belief, but of course many also don't and have their own strength"
"In which case there is the possibility of simply going into their realm, of course your abilities will likely be weakened and theirs strengthened but that is the cost of going to them."
"They can still enter this realm, so if any were to attack you that would be their likely method, they will be slightly more limited but still undoubtedly dangerous" she said, she clapped and a large tome summoned into her hands.
Aerion was still thinking about the information she had given him when she suddenly opened another portal into the middle of the forest he had stood in not even 5 minutes previously.
"Thank you for your time Odinson" she said, clearly dismissing him. He looked back at the woman as he walked out of the portal.
A grim look was on her face.
His eyes narrowed as the portal closed, that was undoubtedly odd, he sighed as he shook his head and turned back going back towards his ship.
Gods that was a weird meeting, he quickly noted down her methods of defending himself from a spiritual God in his mind, before thinking on the really concerning matter.
Which God or Gods had he angered.

His ship landed with a thud on top of a large dark castle, his village in England in the 50 years had so far been his most successful settlement by quite far.
They had even installed a location for him to land his ship, well George did, no one else knew about the ship. They thought he used the Bifrost to get here, explaining how ships worked was frankly not something he wanted to do.
Quickly he clicked the runes for the ship to disappear into thin air and lock, he didn't need anyone spotting the thing after all.
He looked over a castle rampart and looked at the thriving city below that surrounded the castle like a moat. It was small for a city but it was a close knit community.
Low crime, not much poverty, everyone seemed to be living a good life.
He quickly walked down a nearby tower, the castle was a maze, it was built for war of course so it was designed that way.
If anyone invaded or attacked the castle they'd more likely fall down the tiny stairs or get lost in the roaming castle.
He came down to the courtyard, seeing George stood with his-
"Uncle Aerion" the 8 year old said as he spotted him, a far smaller blunted spear Aerion had conjured for the boy on his last visit.
Aerion felt a smile rise to his face as Edward crashed into his knees hugging the God, George sighed as he eyed the duo.
George was the official Lord of the city, Edward his heir. The boys' unruly black hair and blue eyes came directly from George, in fact the two looked so alike that Aerion was slightly concerned the magic in the air had cloned the man.
"Come Edward leave him alone" George said, his black hair and still rather youthful appearance very odd, the duo quickly noticed George's ageing was seemingly slowed, he hadn't and still hasn't got a clue how.
His only theory.
Magic.
The man was pushing 70 now, yet looked 40.
Edward whined but did eventually let go and walked over to the centre of the large courtyard excitedly before turning back to Aerion with a twirl "Aerion let's fight" he said as he held out the spear ahead of him.
The boy suddenly did a ridiculous pose with one leg raised in the air, his left arm raised into the sky and his right holding the tiny spear, pointing it at the smirking Aerion.
"I am Edward Pen" he mimicked Aerion "You are?" His high pitched voice, loud and filled with glee.
Aerion smirked as George sighed and stepped back, in the twos training sessions Aerion did it once jokingly and the boy had been watching and copied it ever since.
Aerion summoned his own spear, blunted of course and spun it gracefully around his lithe form fire trailing in its wake magically.
His yellow eyes suddenly exploded into a fiery glow as dark armour formed around him, a blood red cape slapped out from behind the Asgardian God.
"Aerion Odinson" Aerion answered, holding back a smirk at the explosive grin on Edwards face.
