Bab 24: Chapter 24: The Navy Grand Fleet Arrives
"Are Kurozumi Semimaru and Kurozumi Sumire back yet?" Rocks scanned the room, noticing the absence of the Seventh Division captains.
Hearing Rocks' question, Shiki and the others turned to look at John.
"Oh, hahaha! Them? We have no idea. We haven't seen them since they went on a mission," John said with a laugh after taking a sip of wine.
Rocks frowned at John's response and pulled out a Den Den Mushi.
"Buru! Buru! Buru!"
"Help, Captain Rocks! The Navy has reached the New World, and Admiral Kong himself is leading the fleet!" Kurozumi Semimaru's desperate voice and the sounds of cannon fire echoed through the Den Den Mushi.
"Where are you now?" Rocks asked.
The others listened intently to Semimaru's plea. The Navy had caught up to them, and with Admiral Kong in command, this was going to be interesting.
"Captain, we're in the Eira-Zel Sea! Come quickly!" Semimaru's voice was filled with panic as Rocks ended the call.
The hall fell into silence.
After a long pause, Rocks burst into laughter. "Hahahahahaha! Hahahaha! Target the Eira-Zel Sea. Let's show the Navy whose territory this is!"
"Yes!" The seven officers responded in unison.
Rocks descended from his throne, followed by the seven officers. "Gather, men! Target: Eira-Zel Sea!" Rocks announced from a massive observation deck on the island.
The pirates sprang into action.
"Shiki, we'll need your Pika Pika no Mi abilities soon," Rocks said, looking at Shiki.
"No problem, Captain!" Shiki replied, biting down on his cigar.
Sharlo glanced at Shiki, remembering that Shiki's Pika Pika no Mi allowed him to make any non-living object float and control its flight.
The pirates gathered quickly, surprising Sharlo. He followed Rocks onto a massive pirate ship. With a tap of his toe, Shiki sent dozens of pirate ships floating into the air. Sharlo steadied himself, realizing they were now hundreds of meters above the sea. The sight of the clouds within reach amazed him, making him marvel at the wonders of the pirate world. He wondered if he should also consume a Devil Fruit.
Sharlo knew of two powerful, ownerless Devil Fruits: the Zoan-type Bat-Bat Fruit, Mythical Model: Vampire in the ancient town of Koko, and the Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit on Skypiea. Both had incredible potential. The Rumble-Rumble Fruit, high in the sky, would be tricky to obtain, but Shiki's Pika Pika no Mi could help. He needed to plan carefully.
The ships traveled swiftly through the sky. The Eira-Zel Sea wasn't far from Hachinosu Island. After two or three hours, they heard the rapid sounds of cannon fire from a hundred meters up. Looking down, they saw ten warships bombarding a pirate ship flying the Rocks Pirates' flag.
"Descend!" Rocks ordered Shiki, who promptly lowered the ships to the sea.
On the Navy's side, a lookout shouted, "Report, Admiral Kong! The Rocks Pirates' fleet has arrived, led by Rocks D. Xebec!"
Admiral Kong grabbed a telescope and saw Rocks approaching with his seven officers. "Brother Kong, let's attack and destroy the Rocks Pirates!" Garp exclaimed excitedly.
"Shut up! Don't disturb Admiral Kong!" Sengoku slapped Garp to keep him quiet.
Kong assessed the situation, noting the ten warships and their elite forces, including Garp, Sengoku, and five elite vice admirals from headquarters. Confident in their strength, Kong ordered, "Attack the Rocks Pirates! Justice will prevail!"
"Justice will prevail!" the Navy soldiers shouted in unison.
Even a thousand meters away, Sharlo heard the Navy's cry and smiled. "Close in!" Rocks shouted.
"Roar!" The pirates raised their weapons and roared in response. The seven officers also drew their weapons.
The heavily damaged ship of Kurozumi Semimaru joined the fleet's counterattack. "Buddha Shockwave!" Sengoku, having transformed into a massive golden Buddha, launched a powerful shockwave toward the Rocks Pirates.
Unfazed, Edward Newgate, holding his Naginata Murakumogiri, stepped forward and plunged it into the deck. With a flick of his cloak, he raised his massive fist, a smirk under his white mustache. "Quake Punch!" With a mighty roar, Newgate's fist shattered the shockwave with the immense power of the Gura Gura no Mi, breaking the space around his punch.
Newgate grinned, his fists gripping the very air. "Seaquake!" His muscles bulged as he pulled down, splitting the once calm sea. Massive waves surged toward the Navy's warships, causing panic among the sailors and officers.
"Grab the deck! Don't fall into the sea!" Kong shouted urgently, grabbing the deck himself. Sengoku clung to a mast, knowing that as a Devil Fruit user, falling into the sea would be his end.
"Damn Rocks Pirates!" Sengoku cursed.
Garp, serious for once, held onto a railing to avoid falling overboard.
The Rocks Pirates were equally astonished, watching Newgate in awe.
