Bab 33: Chapter 33

"How dare you! Remember this, I'm not done with you yet! And you, Laine, you will be mine!" he threatened, sending chills down my spine. Suddenly, Clark seemed like a completely different person; I never expected him to be this kind of man. He got on his motorcycle and sped away quickly.

Alzid turned his gaze to me. The moment our eyes met, I couldn't hold back the tears that started flowing from my eyes. And then I felt Alzid's tight embrace around me. I felt safe in the arms of this guy.

"Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you," he said, and his words were so comforting.

When he released me from his hug, he held my hand tightly. I could feel it was still trembling as he held it, so he squeezed it even tighter. I could sense his concern.

"Let's go..." he said.

We walked through the cold night in silence, neither of us saying a word. He just held my hand tightly, as if he never wanted to let go.
