Bab 16: Chapter 16
Whoosh!!
Although the little girl in the pink dress looked dainty, her movements were swift as she chased after her target. She skillfully threw the butterfly knives strapped to her legs, each one hitting the enemy's back with precision.
Not to mention, she casually picked up an automatic rifle from a corpse lying on the forest path.
Click!
She loaded the rifle, swiftly raised it to her shoulder, and began firing. Her precise shooting, like mowing down grass, quickly took down all the enemies.
This girl...
Su Chen was slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected a young girl, probably only a bit older than his sister, to be so proficient with firearms and possess such exceptional throwing skills.
After dealing with the monstrous Abomination, Su Chen's next target was naturally the person who had been giving orders.
Buzz!!!
A gust of wind swept through the area as Su Chen's long black hair billowed upwards, and his feet left the ground. In an instant, he soared into the air, using his keen sense of hearing to track his target, flying directly towards the outskirts of Central Park.
Trying to escape?
A cold killing intent flashed in Su Chen's eyes as he thought of the general who kept calling him by his lab designation.
"Damn!!"
The driver of the armored vehicle cursed loudly just as they exited the forest path. Outside the window, a figure shot towards them like a cannonball.
Bang!!
With a terrifying impact, the right side of the armored vehicle caved in. The entire vehicle flipped several times in the air before crashing onto the ground.
All of this was caused by Su Chen ramming into it with his body.
His lean, slender physique was already tougher than steel. Every cell in his body was brimming with vitality, and even a slight clench of his fist made him feel a surge of powerful energy.
Forget an armored vehicle, Su Chen was confident he could overturn an entire train.
Bang!!
Gunshots erupted as the driver frantically pulled the trigger.
But the poor bullets from the handgun merely shattered upon hitting Su Chen's skin and bounced off.
"What the hell is with this guy's body?"
This was a concept none of the soldiers could comprehend.
From the beginning of their mission, they realized the target, designated 5162, didn't fit their expectations at all.
The black box had limited information since Su Chen had destroyed many of the lab's surveillance cameras.
According to General Stryker, 5162 was just a regenerative individual with cell activity far surpassing that of Wolverine, possessing incredible vitality and seen as the key to human immortality.
They weren't even surprised he survived a nuclear explosion.
After all, Wolverine had done something similar during World War II.
But to the military, even Wolverine was merely a tool, having been turned into a killing machine to kickstart the Weapon X program.
So they felt a bit dismissive of 5162, thinking he was just a 13-year-old kid, incapable of much.
But now...
The Abomination was down.
Even General Ross was unlikely to escape death.
Whoosh!!
With a single thought, Su Chen used his telekinesis to snap the driver's neck.
Then...
An invisible force dragged the general out of the back of the vehicle, breaking his leg bones in the process.
"Ah!!"
The general screamed in pain as his legs, caught in the vehicle, were forcibly pulled out, shattering the bones.
"You're not General Stryker."
Su Chen's voice was cold.
He had searched online and knew what the infamous General Stryker looked like.
This man clearly didn't match the description.
"You damn brat, 5162, don't think you can escape our grasp..."
General Ross cursed angrily.
Even while being restrained, the cold-blooded, iron-hearted general continued to curse at his enemy, showing no signs of pleading.
Su Chen's youthful face remained impassive as he stared at the man and said, "Remember, my name is Su Chen. In your next life, be a good dog."
Crack!!
Without another word, he snapped General Ross's neck.
As if that wasn't enough, he used his telekinesis to fire an air cannon, blasting the body into unrecognizable pieces.
The large research base in the snowy plains, and the designation 5162, now seemed like a distant nightmare, one that had seemingly ended.
But the sudden onslaught of enemies reminded him that it was far from over.
At that moment, a surge of revenge filled Su Chen's heart, erasing any hesitation.
"Until I end everything, I can't have the peaceful life I want."
The killing intent on his face grew even stronger.
"Su Chen..."
A gentle voice called from behind. It was Hit-Girl, Mindy, who had witnessed everything and walked over.
She somewhat understood what this boy had gone through and felt a wave of tenderness, wanting to hug him.
"Let's go."
Mindy invited him once more, this time taking his hand.
They couldn't stay in Central Park any longer.
Though it was late at night and their actions were unlikely to be noticed by the outside world, more enemies would come eventually.
With her extensive experience as an assassin, she could take the boy to her safe house without any risk.
This time, Su Chen didn't pull away.
He understood that this girl was the first good person he had met in Manhattan.
However, neither of them knew the immense trouble awaiting them.
From here, their destinies would take a new turn.
