The afternoon sun cast long shadows over the town as Elara and Lyra made their way to the tavern where the rest of the team was waiting. Despite Lyra's assurances, Elara's instincts kept her on edge, and she stayed close to the young woman, ready to act at the slightest hint of betrayal.

The tavern was a small, dimly lit establishment nestled between two larger buildings, its wooden sign swaying gently in the breeze. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and noisy, filled with the sound of clinking mugs and laughter. Elias and Cedric were seated at a corner table, their expressions serious as they talked in low voices.

Elara led Lyra over to them, her gaze meeting Cedric's as she approached. "We have a situation," she said quietly, sitting down. "This is Lyra. She claims to know the location of the Nexus."

Cedric's eyes narrowed as he sized up the newcomer. "And how exactly did she find us?"
