Bab 124: 124. Success

Lance went back to work and let Maurice care for Mara, who did his job much better than him, even organizing a portable toilet and shower for her. But it wasn't clear why...she had somehow developed Stockholm syndrome, asking after Lance constantly.

The next call he got from Eno was a while later when he finally told him that he had located her. But she was in a coma and had a hot guy bathing her. Then he said that she was a bit incomplete, as, unfortunately, two of her toes were lost. 

When Lance heard that, he was in his hidden room, utterly calm. He asked for specifics like which toes and on which foot, if they were amputated professionally or just cut off.

After receiving his information and the promise that she would be there at his birthday party, he ended the call.
