Jane teared up, Terrence smiled caringly, Meier grimaced, but his eyes twinkled, Jace, coughed, being a bit embarrassed from the touching atmosphere, and Lance put his hand on her head and moved it in the direction of her plate again.

"Eat up." He said, and he himself continued too.

When Paige didn't react immediately, he held her hand under the table quietly.

Paige let him do it and ate with her other hand silently.

After finishing the meal they changed location to the living room, the space here was vaste, the ceilings high, giving one room to breathe freely even with a few people crowded together.

They sat down and asked Paige how she was and if her family was informed of her being back.

Paige answered patiently while Lance sat beside her, annoyed that he had to let go of her hand.

Paige only said that Mr. Donavan would inform her parents, and she hadn't heard back from him until now.
