Zoro immediately shouted to Luffy and Sanji, "This is bad, Luffy! We need to get back to the ship right away!"
"Alright, let's retreat quickly," Luffy replied.
Earlier, Luffy had considered capturing the Kraken to pull their ship like the sea cow they saw, but it seemed unlikely now.
Just as the three of them were about to swim back to the Sunny, they realized they couldn't move against the current.
As the whirlpool created by the falling Kraken grew larger, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji were sucked into the downward current together!
"This is bad, they've been swallowed by the descending current!" Robin anxiously looked at the seemingly bottomless depths below.
Franky immediately ran to the helm, while Usopp shouted, "We need to follow them! If we're going down, we're all going down together!"
Once Franky took control of the helm, Itachi had already rushed out of the bubble on the side of the ship.
"How dare that guy leave the bubble!" Caribou, who was tumbling and spinning, was wide-eyed in disbelief.
"Strong people can withstand the pressure underwater, but we're approaching the deep sea. Without a bubble to react with the water, you'll be crushed flat!" Caribou was sweating profusely.
"What kind of lunatics are these Straw Hat Pirates?"
"Itachi! Come back, it's dangerous out there!" Robin shouted worriedly at Itachi, who was the closest to her.
However, Itachi couldn't hear her through the bubble.
"Hey, tear-streaked guy, don't do anything reckless!" Franky fired a flashbang with his raised arm.
Nami struggled to stand at the front of the bubble, "Estimate, Itachi!"
"We can find Luffy and the others with the Sunny; you don't need to take risks!"
Itachi couldn't hear any of them; all he could hear was the roar of the currents. The breath he was holding in his chest was about to be squeezed out by the immense pressure, causing veins to bulge on his forehead.
His eyes spun, and the Mangekyō Sharingan appeared.
Susanoo!
As the Mangekyō Sharingan rotated, Susanoo's chest bones enveloped Itachi.
"What's that thing? It looks like a skeleton!" Usopp, floating in the air and clinging to the sails, shouted while pointing at Itachi.
Itachi was surrounded by a skeleton emitting a fiery red glow.
"A skeleton? Isn't that me?" Brook shouted while bouncing around. "My skeleton's about to fall apart."
"Could it be a Devil Fruit ability?" Robin was increasingly confused by Itachi.
With Susanoo's support, Itachi not only gained breathing space but also defense against the pressure. He focused his chakra at his feet,
Robin continued, "Could Luffy and the others have been eaten by a sea beast?"
"Robin, that's terrifying!" Chopper cried out.
Visibility was extremely poor at the bottom of the sea; almost nothing could be seen.
Standing at the ship's bow, Robin kept scanning the surroundings until she spotted a distant red light.
"That's... Itachi!"
Everyone turned to look in the direction she indicated, seeing Itachi, encased in Susanoo, swimming swiftly toward the Sunny.
Once he got close, Itachi dispelled Susanoo and jumped into the bubble.
Landing on the deck, he shook his head before anyone could approach him to check on his condition.
"I didn't find them."
"What do you mean, you didn't find them?" Brook asked.
"The straw-hatted captain, the swordsman, and the blonde-haired guy," Itachi explained.
"Wait, so after protecting the Sunny, you went looking for Luffy and the others?" Nami asked, surprised.
Itachi simply gave a small nod, then moved to the bow of the ship, his Sharingan reappearing as he continued to scan the area.
"Itachi-san!"
"Itachi, bro!"
"Oh my god! Tear-streaked guy!"
Brook and Chopper hugged each other, crying again.
"Itachi-san, you're so considerate."
"Yeah, Itachi is really looking out for us!"
"Oh my god, I love the tear-streaked guy!"
Suddenly, they noticed Caribou hugging them and crying as well.
Brook and Chopper were stunned for a moment before they retaliated with a flurry of cane sword techniques and kung fu, reducing Caribou to a battered heap on the ground.
"Disgusting! Who said you could touch us?"
"Yeah, gross!"
Usopp suddenly realized something. "Wait, does that mean Luffy and the others are missing!?"
"Yes, they're too small a target, and there's no light source. I searched around the current area and couldn't find them," Itachi explained.
Franky gritted his teeth. "At such depths, even a submersible wouldn't work; it would be crushed by the water pressure."
"By the way, Itachi, what was that thing you were wrapped in earlier?" Nami asked.
Itachi turned around, and even in the dark depths of the sea, Nami could see his eyes had a blood-red pattern, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Oh, that was..."
Just as Itachi began to explain, he abruptly turned his head.
He sensed a massive presence brushing past the ship in the pitch-black water.
Itachi made a lowering gesture with his hand. "We'll discuss this later; there's something near the ship."
