Bab 20: Chapter 20: A Drag

The thought had barely crossed his mind when his assistant broke into a sweat on his forehead. Coming back to his senses, he immediately spoke up, "Please wait a moment, I'll call and ask."

A few minutes later, the assistant returned. His expression was somewhat tense as he carefully said, "Mr. Gu, Miss Su has completed the discharge procedures for Mrs. Su and has gone to the house left to Miss Su by Mr. Su before his passing."

"Actually..." The assistant hesitated, then added, "You don't need to worry too much. Miss Su may just be upset on the spur of the moment. It's very normal for girls to get emotional and upset, and they're easy to comfort. My wife and I used to argue all the time too, and she wanted to divorce me. But after soothing her, everything was fine. Couples argue at one end of the bed and make up at the other."

The assistant didn't know what had happened between Miss Su and Mr. Gu, but at this critical juncture, he could only say some pleasant words.
