Bab 185: Tone It Down

Outside Hunter's office, Sabrina hesitated for a moment in the hallway. She glanced down toward the end of the hall, where Alex's office was. She hadn't seen him since he dropped her off the previous day, and for some reason, her feet had carried her toward his door. But now that she was standing here, she wasn't sure why she had come.

What was she going to say was her reason for being there? It wasn't like they had anything to discuss. Was she going there to check on him? Should she just go back to her office? she wondered, but before she could make up her mind, Alex's office door opened, and there he stood, looking right at her.

The moment he saw her, his face lit up with a smile, a playful glint in his eyes. "Were you coming to see me?" he asked.

Sabrina's cheeks flushed. "No," she said quickly, crossing her arms defensively. "I was just... lost in thought."
