Bab 148: Old And Stupid

Sabrina returned to the bedroom, the steam from her cup of coffee swirling softly in the cool air. Her eyes fell on Alex, now fully dressed in a crisp shirt and dark slacks, his hair still damp from the shower.

He stood near the window, gazing out at the view, but the moment she walked in, he turned to her with a grin, one that sent a wave of both exasperation and intrigue through her.

"Good morning again," he greeted her, his voice low and teasing as if the playful antics of earlier had only set the stage for whatever banter was to come.

Sabrina took a long sip of her coffee, her eyes never leaving him, and set the cup down on the dresser. She crossed her arms and let out a slow breath. "I got your message, Alex."

His grin widened. "Oh? And what message would that be?"

Sabrina resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "The one where you've made it crystal clear that maybe we need to set some boundaries."
