"Jian Xi."

They introduced themselves.

Master Yao nodded with satisfaction, "Good! Let's skip the ceremony of becoming apprentices. That kind of thing is out of date in the new era. Nan Mufeng has come a bit earlier, so he'll be the senior apprentice. Jian Xi, you'll be the junior sister. Go home and have dinner. Come back tomorrow!"

Nan Mufeng looked at Jian Xi playfully, "Junior sister?"

"Senior brother?" Jian Xi gave a wry smile.

What kind of fate was this—was it still possible to refuse the apprenticeship now?

"Cough cough!"

Just as Jian Xi was about to back out, Master Yao suddenly clutched his chest and started to cough violently.

Wow!

He spat out a mouthful of blood.

Nan Mufeng and Jian Xi's expressions changed simultaneously, "Master Yao, are you ill?"

"It's nothing. I'm not going to die," Master Yao waved his hand.

"How can it be nothing if you're spitting blood? We should take you to the hospital!"
