Bab 10: Chapter 10-The weekend
I woke up the same time as usual and did the usual. It was the first weekend, but that doesn't mean that I should rest on my laurels. No, I am a man of action and shear fucking will. I completed my workout, took a shower, and went down for breakfast. I saw a potential witness… I mean professor so I had a layer of safety. As I sat to eat I saw a wild Bellatrix approach.
"Now Bellatrix, after thinking over the events from yesterday I've realized that I am completely unforgivable."
"Oh, so you realize it."
"Of course, it's because there is simply nothing to forgive."
Her eyes twitched in irritationand she asked dangerously, "what do you mean there is nothing to forgive?"
"That man you encountered yesterday is no longer here. If I encounter him I'll be sure to curse him for you. Also, there are witnesses here." I motion towards the professor.
"Where did you pull that shitty line of thought from?"
"Why Buddha of course."
"What kind of parents raised a brat like you?"
"Wow, bringing up parentage to an orphan is a low blow Bella. You're words cut deeper than any curse."
She chuckled at that, "I can't decide if I find you entertaining or irritating. You are the most shameless person that I have ever met."
"I aim to please. So, why do you need me?"
"I don't exactly need you. It's as I said before, I just wanted to verify some rumors. Although you hitting me with a wandless charm yesterday proved that there was some veracity to them."
"Rumors of a handsome, charming and talented young ravenclaw."
"They said nothing of the handsome or charming part."
"But no one is outright denying them either."
She laughed, "I've changed my mind. You really are insufferable. Have a nice day."
She walked away leaving me alone to finish my meal. I told myself I was going to stay low, but that hasn't worked out at all.
I finished eating and left to work on my senjutsu and spell work. I had a house elf pack me some lunch as I knew that I'd not want to leave. I continued learning the spells and even managed to perfect around 75% of them before dinner. Keep in mind that when I say perfect, I mean to able to use them wandlessly. It sounds impressive and it is, but not as much as you'd think. The spells are all things that a first or second year could probably cast, so the difficulty isn't too high. Hell, most of them aren't even very useful. It's the wandlessness that's impressive. My real reason for learning them is to get a better grasp of magic in general.
After eating dinner, I went off and began practicing transfiguration. It wasn't really difficult as most transfiguration is similar until you start trying to turn living things into objects and objects into living things. Watching P. McG transform from cat to human gave me some idea, but if I want to progress quickly I'll probably need to see her perform those particular changes. I pretty much completed any required transfiguration until the fourth year. I decided to seek out my dear professor tomorrow to see if she could demonstrate.

The next day I perfected the remaining spells and went to the good professor for guidance later in the day. P. Minnie was in her office grading papers when I walked in.
"Mr. Mathers, how can I help you?"
"I've made it through the third year material, but I've hit a block on the fourth year. I was hoping you could demonstrate the spells a few times."
"Just demonstrate?"
"You can explain what you think the important points are, but the demonstration is what I'm after. Seeing something for myself usually gives my a better understanding." If only she knew the extent.
She agreed and demonstrated the spells. I watch with my magical eyes and took in the views. It was certainly a step up, but wasn't something out of reach for me. I thanked the professor and made my way out to practice. The rest of the day consisted of transfiguration practice. Some people might not care too much about transfiguration, but I would call them fools. For one, it plays a heavy role in alchemy and two, it's literally bending reality in the most straightforward way possible. If you can't understand the magnificence of that, then I can only assume that you're an uncultured pig.
I really want to get to permanent tranfigurations and wandless conjuration. I want try using it to pull off something I remember from the fate series. Inscribing runes in the air. Will it be practical? No idea. Will it look cool? Certainly. Even if I can't cast spells like they do in fate it would probably work as great bluff against anyone outside of Dumbles and Voldy. Think about it. Everyone is using wands to fight, then all of a sudden this one guy waves his hand and a bunch of glowing runes appear. If you've never encountered it, you'd probably be extremely cautious.
My knowledge of runes and arithmancy are already decent. I'm probably around the level of a 5th year in those regards, but I have time. I made enough progress for the day and decided to relax after eating dinner. As I was walking back to the common room, I saw two people I sort of recognized, Arthur Weasley and Molly Prewett. They were both older students, but I don't know there exact years. Honestly, they were both actually pretty good looking. I was surprised because I kept thinking of there movie counterparts who were much older and a kind of fat. I know it's not a fair comparison, but it's the one that happened to pop into my head.
I finally made it back to the common room and spent the rest of the night actually socializing and getting to know my housemates. I know, I surprised even myself. No one outside of my roommates actually approaches me on there own for some reason. Is it because of Bellatrix? Probably. Oh well, it just means there's less time for distractions and more time for magic. I went to sleep eager for the new week.
