The golden rays of the sun illuminated Orario, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere in the bustling city. Even though today was the weekend, adventurers continued their routines, preparing to explore mysterious dungeons. Unlike usual, Noah wasn't selling potato balls today; today was the promised day for a date with Syr.
After getting ready, Noah wore his best outfit—a neat casual top and comfortable pants.
Noah walked toward the Hostess of Fertility to pick up Syr as promised.
Upon arriving at the Hostess of Fertility, he saw Syr waiting at the door. Her bluish-gray hair shimmered in the sunlight, as if radiating its own light. Her bright eyes and charming smile made onlookers gasp at her beauty.
"Syr!" Noah called, waving his hand.
Syr turned and her face instantly lit up with a smile. "Kamisama! I've been waiting. Are you ready for our adventure today?"
"Since today is our date, you don't need to call me kamisama. Just call me Noah," Noah said gently.
"If that's the case, Noah..." Syr called out with excitement.
The two of them began their journey, walking side by side through the crowded streets of Orario. The laughter and chatter of adventurers filled the air while the aroma of delicious food tantalized their senses.
Their first destination was the Colosseum—a place where adventurers fought in the arena, honing their skills and, of course, betting. Although there were no life-and-death battles here, the atmosphere remained exhilarating, filled with cheers and shouts from spectators watching the fights.
As they approached the Colosseum, Noah could feel the vibrant energy from the crowd gathered outside. The cheers and shouts grew louder.
Syr gazed at the arena with keen interest. "I've never been here before. It looks like there's so much to see."
They entered the Colosseum, and the atmosphere inside was alive. Adventurers fought in the arena, training their combat skills against one another. Around the arena, people placed bets on their favored fighters. Noah and Syr found seats at the edge of the arena, waiting for the next match to begin.
"Who are you rooting for?" Noah asked, looking toward the arena.
Syr smiled, her eyes sparkling. "I don't know, but I love watching passionate fighters. They look so brave."
In an instant, the match began. Two adventurers entered the arena, each showcasing impressive skills and techniques, though for Noah, even if it was Finn, it wouldn't be anything special.
"If I fought here, would you support me?" Noah joked.
Syr laughed softly, "Of course! But is that okay?"
Syr asked hesitantly, as the gods sealed their powers, making them no different from ordinary humans in a match. It would be impossible to win against adventurers. There could be exceptions, like war gods such as Takemikazuchi or hunting goddesses like Artemis, who could face level 3 adventurers and even have a chance to win.
Syr looked at Noah curiously; until now, she still didn't know what kind of god Noah was in Tenkai.
The battle was intense, and Syr couldn't help but cheer when one of the fighters made a spectacular attack.
After several thrilling matches, they decided to wander and explore other parts of the Colosseum. They found various stalls selling food and drinks. The aroma of popcorn and other snacks filled the air, and Noah couldn't resist buying some treats.
"How about this?" Noah raised a bag of caramel popcorn. "We can share."
Syr nodded, her smile growing wider. "Thank you, Noah."
They sat at the edge of the arena, enjoying the popcorn while sharing stories and laughter. After a while, Noah got an idea. "Syr, how about we try placing a bet?"
Syr frowned, looking unsure. "But I don't know how to bet."
Noah smiled. "I'll teach you. It'll be fun!"
They headed to the betting area, where bettors gathered to place wagers on their chosen fighters. Noah explained the process to Syr, and eventually, they agreed to make a small bet on the fighter currently competing.
"Alright, let's bet on the one in red!" Noah pointed to one of the fighters. "He looks strong."
Syr laughed. "Then I'll bet on the one in blue. He looks fast!"
They placed their bets and returned to their seats, waiting for the results. Tension filled the air as the match began. Syr shyly and boldly held Noah's hand. Feeling this, Noah reciprocated.
Finally, after an intense battle, the fighter in red emerged victorious. Cheers erupted from the crowd, and Syr cheered, "We won! We won!"
Noah laughed at Syr's excitement. "We really got lucky!"
Satisfied with the atmosphere in the Colosseum, Noah and Syr decided to continue their date. They left the arena and strolled through the streets of Orario, breathing in the fresh air while chatting and laughing.
"Where shall we go next?" Syr asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.
"Noah, I know the perfect place. How about we go to the flower garden nearby?" Noah replied eagerly.
Syr nodded in agreement. "That sounds fun!"
They walked to the flower garden, where various colors of flowers bloomed vibrantly. The atmosphere in the garden felt calm and peaceful, a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Orario. They found a bench under a shady tree and sat down, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Syr took a deep breath, enjoying the fragrant aroma of the flowers. "I love this place. It's so beautiful."
Noah looked at her in awe. "I feel the same. But it's not as beautiful as you."
Syr blushed, her face turning red. "Noah, you're teasing me."
They spent their time in the garden, continuing their conversation until the sun began to set, creating a romantic atmosphere with warm orange light.
As night fell, they decided to go somewhere else. "How about we head to the city wall to stargaze?" Noah suggested.
Syr agreed enthusiastically. "That sounds amazing!"
They walked to the city wall, passing streets illuminated by twinkling lights. When they reached the top of the city wall, they saw stars beginning to appear in the night sky.
"Wow..." Syr said, her eyes sparkling as she gazed at the star-filled sky. "This is so beautiful."
"Noah, thank you for today. I'm so happy to spend time with you," Syr said with a smile. She felt grateful to share this time with Noah, even if it wasn't in her true form as Freya.
Noah nodded. "Me too, Syr."
They stood there, enjoying the beauty of the stars and their togetherness before heading back.
