Bab 27: Chapter 27: First cultivation session.
"Clack"
Hearing the sound of something breaking, I rolled my entire body forward. Once I walked away, I looked towards the direction it came from. There stood Hui Ying, surprised by my exaggerated behavior, but I couldn't do anything. I don't possess any protective talisman, and she didn't even give me enough time to cultivate. I need to take care of myself from any possible danger.
"I'm sorry? "I didn't think you would be so surprised."
Damn, in her hands was a tree branch broken in half. Apparently, she used that to get my attention before approaching me.

"Well, I won't ask about your reasons. As we agreed, I will protect you for the next five years. Follow me."
I didn't expect any response from her, I just left after saying those words. I need to find a safer place to grow, I can't do it outdoors.

My steps were no longer as slow as before, I'm in a hurry to find a safe place so I can focus on improving my strength. Even if my steps is fast, I don't have anywhere in mind. The best thing right now would be an empty cave, but that would be absurd. The forest is huge, and not only animals live in them. They may have taken away the Qi of every living being, but there is a very clear difference in the situation each one is in.
It goes without saying that a normal human is at the bottom of the food chain. I can handle some of them, but without Qi, I won't last long. If a giant fucking snake suddenly appeared, I would have no choice but to run away or pray for a miracle.
My battle experiences are valuable, but they aren't incredible enough to take down a giant beast. Keep in mind that all my tactics use Qi in one way or another.
I stopped my steps and sat with my back to the tree. It is unlikely to find a safe haven in this place, it's best to reach 'Qi Practitioner' before continuing the search.

After hearing her confirmation, I proceeded to start with 'the Tiao Tian technique'. Their way of cultivation is a little special, so it's better if I have someone by my side. I took off my black robe, folded it carefully, and gave it to the blushing Hui Ying. She seemed ashamed of my actions; But she can't blame me, I'm not doing anything immoral.
After undressing, I lay face up on the floor. To practice this technique, the most optimal thing is to be in skin-to-skin contact with nature. If I could, I would also take off my underwear; but I don't want to be branded as a pervert or nudist by her.
Having finished the initial preparations, I sat on the ground in a lotus position, and continuously repeated the mantra of the Tiao Tian technique in my mind. Normally it would be a few minutes, but apparently something changed in my body.
Once I have established my connection with the Qi, I guide them into my body through a series of controlled breaths. And from here, is where this technique differs from the others. Not only do I need to canalize them into my abdomen, but I also have to break the connection between the Qi and the heavens. I need to visualize the link and cut them one by one, freeing them from celestial influence, and making them parts of me.
This step, which may sound simple; It's extremely dangerous. The result of cutting link with the heavens can cause a deep sense of disconnection and extreme loneliness. In other words, it's as if you sacrifice a part of your desire to live with each bond you break. Therefore, practicing it for a long period can cause reluctance to continue existing.
After 5 hours, I stopped my actions. An incredible migraine broke out in my head, I felt like something in my mind was continually whispering to commit suicide.
'You don't deserve to live!'
'You killed them!'
'You are miserable!'
'You never cared about your parents; you've always been selfish!'
'Everyone will leave you, just like her!'
I grabbed my head with both hands and slammed it into the ground. I repeated it over and over, trying to focus my attention on the incoming pain. Blood began to flow from my forehead, staining the floor the same color as my eyes. I didn't know what Hui Ying was doing, but she didn't approach me. Either way, she would be little help in this situation.
Over time, the whispers became quieter and quieter, to the point where they could be ignored by the surrounding noise. I dropped to the ground and rested my body.
'Fuck, I need to do this every day.'
After regaining enough strength, I stood up and looked for Hui Ying. It didn't take me long to find her, and I couldn't have been more angrier. The bastard was sleeping on the floor. I felt the fumes coming out of my head when I saw her sleeping so peacefully, while I was dying.
'Breath, breath; leave her, you couldn't expect more from her.'
I stopped thinking about her and focused on my future plans.
I looked at the current state of my body and calculated. I only cultivated for 5 hours, but the repercussions almost broke my head. If I continue like this, a scar will form on my forehead. I should decrease my cultivation time slightly.
'But the results are quite good.'
I am already at stage six of 'Qi Practitioner', the speed is amazing. I was very happy about the progress, but I knew in my mind that this speed would decrease drastically over time. The drawback of cutting link is that I can't consume pills to gather Qi, I need to do it manually, one by one.
