The following morning, everyone sat at the dining table, each focused on their food with no single sound coming from anyone. Tessa didn't fail to notice how happy Alice was and was heavily interested in what boosted her mood.

Could Elias have cheered her up after leaving her yesterday? Hold on, what sort of preposterous thoughts was she having? It did not matter if Elias was whoring around, they were friends, and nothing would change that.

She suddenly realized she had not seen the little witch since she woke up and wondered if she was okay. Elias had assured her that the little witch was doing well, but she was overly concerned and wanted to see her for hers. If the little witch had not insisted on following her, she would have been safe at the temple.

She had already taken precautions to keep people away from the temple so that no one could intrude on her even in a hundred years. She just hoped the little witch was comfortable here.
