Richard's POV

I was in my study going through a couple of files. In the middle of all that, my phone buzzed, and looking at the caller ID, I realised it was Bruno.

He was part of the few people who had helped me with Lucian's adoption and everything that led to Ellen and Jennifer's freedom. He was the one who brought the driver who had driven the car on the night that we dropped Luciana on the road.

"Bruno, why have you called?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued. I had instructed that no one tries to get in touch with me until everything was settled and the air is cleared.

"It's Luis, the man who drove the car that night. I think Jack has him."

"What!" I sprang up on my feet. "How did that happen?"

"I don't know the exact details, but the car has been reportedly burned and Jack probably has something to do with it."

I took a brief moments to pause, trying to piece together everything that Bruno had just reported to me.
