Bab 120: He is Mine!

Joshua sat in his office, the dim light of the late afternoon filtering through the blinds. His desk was cluttered with paperwork, but his mind was far from the chores at hand. 

He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples as the weight of his failing marriage with Claire pressed down on him. The tension between them had grown unbearable, and he was at a loss as to how to mend the split.

The door to his office swung open, and Mia stepped inside without knocking. Joshua glanced up, his expression neutral, masking the anger bubbling beneath the surface.

"Joshua," Mia said, her voice soft but laced with purpose as she closed the door behind her. She approached his desk with a slow, deliberate walk, her eyes fixed on him. "We need to talk."

Joshua sighed internally, setting his pen down and straightening in his chair. "What is it, Mia?"
