The following day, Lucifer was in a much more relaxed mood as he walked into his office at the agency. With all his stress and worries washed away after revealing everything to Gwen, he could now enjoy his life without having to fear that he would hurt his girlfriend's feelings. This new sense of freedom was truly liberating, and the weight on his shoulders was gone.

He greeted everyone in the office, showing them his confident, bright smile as usual, and proceeded to his desk, where he sat down.

Looking at the pile of files that his secretary placed on the side of his table, he took a deep breath to brace himself and began dealing with the tasks of the day. He had a lot of work ahead of him. Before long, he found himself lost in his paperwork and making calls, forgetting the time as he busied himself.

Then, after several hours, Claire stepped inside the office with a folder in her hands and approached his desk.
