Benjamin had just returned from his trip, fuming with frustration. Representing the school was a task he didn't enjoy doing, and he definitely resented every moment of this one too.

Instead of heading home, he left his luggage in his Ford car and parked in front of the Copa.

The Copa was his refuge, his sanctuary away from the obligations and expectations that plagued him.

He loved the smoky atmosphere, the hard drinks, the camaraderie of poker games, and the sense of belonging he felt there.

As he entered, intending to head straight to the dressing room to hang his hat and jacket, he heard a familiar voice—Tommy's voice.

An unexpected thrill shot through him.

Of all the people to run into upon his return, it had to be Tommy, the very person he relished tormenting. The situation seemed almost serendipitous.
