After years of knowing her father, Ella was acutely aware that Robert was a greedy man who wouldn't let anyone else have what he couldn't get himself. It was a terrifying reality!

"So, have you made up your mind yet?"

Eric's slender, pale fingers gently traced the outline of Ella's face.

Her cheeks flushed instantly. His touch carried a seductive gentleness that made her heart race even faster. She turned her head away, "Give me... three days."

Eric's eyes sparkled with an unusual light, his thin, attractive lips curling into a faint smile. "Alright, darling, I'll wait for you."

Ella couldn't understand why Eric was interested in her. There were plenty of women more beautiful and graceful than her, all eager to be with Eric. Why did he choose her? Perhaps it was because they shared similar pasts?
