Bab 86: Ch-86 < Jyahnar >

Kevin lay on Elysia's lap, his body still recovering from the intense battle they had just endured. Mei, Bronya, and Elysia hovered close by, their concern etched on their faces as they tended to him. The atmosphere was filled with relief, the trio savoring a brief moment of peace.

However, this tranquility was abruptly shattered by the sudden presence of an unfamiliar figure. A voice, soft yet resonant with ancient power, echoed through the air. "That fight was something else."

Kevin's eyes snapped open, shock rippling through him as he quickly turned to face the source of the voice. None of them had noticed the newcomer until she spoke. The air around her seemed to ripple with an energy that was foreign to everyone.

The girl before them was mesmerizing. Her long, blue hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, its color reminiscent of the deep ocean. Her face was flawless, with smooth, porcelain skin that contrasted beautifully with her dark blue hair.

But it was her eyes that truly captivated Kevin—they were a deep, mesmerizing shade of ocean blue, seemingly holding the vastness of the sea within them.

As their gazes met, Kevin felt as if he were staring into the depths of the ocean, a place of both beauty and unimaginable danger.

She wore a crown-like accessory on her forehead, adorned with coral and pearls, symbolizing her dominion over the ocean.

Her attire was a flowing, elegant gown, a mixture of white and blue that seemed to shimmer like the ocean's surface under the moonlight. Golden bracelets and anklets, engraved with ancient runes, encircled her wrists and ankles, adding to her regal appearance.

Kevin's mind raced as he took in the sight before him. "That's... the Herrscher of Oceans, Jyahnar," he thought, his thoughts flashing with images of the Lovecraftian figure that stood before them.

She was from a species known in myth as the Lovecraftians, an ancient and powerful race that harbored abilities beyond human comprehension.

Kevin knew her as one who could even rival the Herrscher of the End. A cold sweat broke out on his brow as he realized the gravity of the situation.

"Damn, what should I do?" Kevin thought, his mind scrambling for a solution. "I can't take her on in my weakened state, and even if I were at my peak, fighting her could cost us the planet." He looked at Jyahnar again, this time noticing the sadness that lingered in her ocean-blue eyes.

Jyahnar's gaze swept over the group, her presence overwhelming. Her eyes got focused on three individual Mei, Bronya and Kevin.

Even Bronya, who was a divine key, felt a shiver run down her spine. The sheer power emanating from Jyahnar was palpable, causing everyone to tremble—everyone except Elysia.

She alone seemed unaffected by the intense aura that radiated from the Herrscher.

"She should be in her weakened state since Kiana only placed her core in a clone," Kevin thought, recalling what he knew of Jyahnar.

"But the core alone is enough to transform a clone body into a half-beast form." As he analyzed the situation, his eyes met Jyahnar's, and for a brief moment, he saw a flicker of sadness within them.

Jyahnar finally spoke, her voice carrying a hint of melancholy. "A male Kiana," she said, her words hanging in the air.

The statement left everyone confused, except for Elysia, whose eyes widened slightly in realization.

"It's a pity I just woke up, and Kiana is near death," Jyahnar muttered, her voice filled with a profound sadness.

Kevin's heart skipped a beat. "What... Why is she calling me Kiana?" He asked himself in bewilderment. Desperate for answers, he called out in his mind, "Mr. System, say something!"

"Host Kevin Kaslana is an alternate version of Kiana," the system responded in Kevin's mind, delivering a revelation that left him reeling. The realization dawned on Kevin that Jyahnar saw him as Kiana's reincarnation.

"That's... that's good," Kevin thought, a wave of relief washing over him. "If she thinks I'm Kiana, she might not eliminate humanity." His body relaxed slightly, the tension easing as he considered this new development.

But then, Kevin's defiant nature kicked in. "Who the hell is this dying girl you're talking about?" he shouted, trying to mask his fear.

"I'm Kevin Kaslana! I'm thriving with energy and could easily defeat you!" He glared at Jyahnar, his voice filled with bravado.

The surrounding air grew thick with tension as everyone processed Kevin's outburst.

Thoughts raced through their minds, each one wondering why he would provoke such a powerful being.

Dystopia and Mei exchanged nervous glances, silently cursing Kevin for his reckless behavior.

To their surprise, Jyahnar chuckled softly, her laughter resonating with an almost musical quality. "Then I'm happy. My Kiana has reunited with me," she said, her tone warm and affectionate.

Kevin's eyes narrowed as he tried to make sense of her words. "I don't know why you're calling me Kiana, but my name is Kevin Kaslana," he stated firmly. His voice softened as he added, "By the way, what is your name?"

Jyahnar tilted her head slightly, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "Me?" she repeated, her voice laced with a touch of vulnerability. "I'm nameless... You can call me whatever you want."

Kevin paused, contemplating for a moment before a name came to mind. "I'll call you Cana," he said, his voice gentle.

As soon as the name left his lips, Jyahnar—now Cana—widened her eyes in surprise.

A beautiful smile spread across her face, her ocean-blue eyes softening as she looked at Kevin. "Cana..." she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "I like it."

The tension that had filled the air moments ago seemed to dissipate, replaced by a sense of calm as Cana accepted her new name. The others watched in awe, amazed at how Kevin had managed to defuse the situation with just a few words.

Elysia, who had been silent throughout the exchange, finally spoke up. "Well, Kevin, it seems like you've made a new friend," she said, her voice light, though her eyes still held a trace of concern.

Kevin glanced back at Elysia. "Yeah, I guess I did," he replied softly.

As he turned his gaze toward Cana, he decided to look deeper, using his ability to see karma threads.

What he saw surprised him. There were deep red lines and soft pink lines connecting her to him. These threads were more than just a symbol of a friendship—.

Kevin's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the significance of these threads. The karmic threads didn't lie. They revealed the truth that even Kevin had not fully grasped until now.

She loves me, Kevin concluded, his mind processing the implications.

In her eyes, he wasn't just Kevin Kaslana—he was an alternate version or perhaps reincarnation of Kiana, someone who held a special place in her heart.

Mei, who had been on edge, finally allowed herself to relax. "I hope this friendship doesn't lead to more destruction," she muttered under her breath.

Cana, noticing the subtle shift in the group's demeanor, chuckled once more. "Don't worry," she said, her voice warm and soothing. "I have no intention of causing any harm. My awakening was sudden, and I was disoriented... But now, I feel at peace."

Kevin nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. The threat that had loomed so large moments ago seemed to have dissipated, replaced by a strange but welcome sense of camaraderie.
