Bab 4: Ch-4 < 3rd honkai eruption >

Kevin stood alone in a secluded forest clearing, the remnants of his latest training session scattered around him. The trees were scorched, and the ground bore the marks of his powerful attacks. He surveyed the damage, a sense of satisfaction mingled with caution in his eyes.

"The progress has been remarkable," Kevin mused to himself, recalling the intense training he had undergone. "I've finally managed to manipulate Honkai energy to a significant extent. The ability to create electricity within my body has given me a substantial boost in speed, reaction time, and defense."

He remembered the first time he had tried this technique. His initial attempt to channel Honkai energy into his hand had been excruciating. The electrical surge had severely damaged the nerves in his hand, causing intense pain. Fortunately, his regeneration ability had healed the damage swiftly, leaving no trace of the injury behind.

"It was worth the pain," Kevin thought, flexing his fingers as he recalled the agony of that early experiment. "The results are more than worth it. With Honkai energy enhancing my lightning abilities, I can now produce a force of around one tonne. That's more than enough to destroy a building."

He recalled the last exercise with a wry smile. In an empty area of the forest, he had unleashed a punch empowered by Honkai energy and lightning. The force of the strike had been so immense that even a half-hearted punch had created a massive crater and an explosive noise that resonated through the forest. Kevin had quickly fled the scene to avoid drawing attention, not wanting anyone to witness the aftermath of his training.

"That was a close call," he reflected, shaking his head slightly. "I need to be more mindful of the impact of my abilities. This kind of power is not something to be used recklessly."

Kevin had discovered a new ability he called "Space Lock." By manipulating spatial energy, he could create a localized distortion that temporarily immobilized objects or enemies within a certain radius.

"Space Lock is going to be a game-changer," he thought, his mind racing with possibilities. "I can use it to freeze enemies in place or prevent projectiles from reaching me. The applications in combat are endless."

To test the ability, Kevin extended his hand towards a large boulder. Concentrating, he visualized the space around the boulder tightening and locking into place. The air shimmered, and the boulder seemed to freeze, suspended in an invisible grip.

"Got it," he murmured, maintaining the lock for a few moments before releasing it. The boulder dropped back to the ground with a dull thud. "With enough practice, I'll be able to hold larger and more powerful objects in place. This will definitely come in handy."

# A Day at the Amusement Park

Over the next week, Kevin made a concerted effort to spend more time with Mei, gradually integrating her into the social circle of the Kendo club girls. Though initially hesitant due to her introverted nature, Mei eventually joined in on their activities.

"Come on, Mei! You'll have a blast. We're just hanging out and having fun," Kevin encouraged.

"I'm not sure... I'm not really great with big groups," Mei replied hesitantly.

"It'll be okay. Trust me, you might end up enjoying it more than you think."

Mei reluctantly agreed, and they spent an enjoyable day at an arcade and bowling alley. Mei, who was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere, quickly warmed up to the idea.

The day started off bright and sunny as Kevin, Mei, Su, Karishma, Kana, and the rest of the Kendo club girls headed to the local amusement park. It was meant to be a day of fun and relaxation before the upcoming graduation.

"Alright everyone, let's make today unforgettable!" Kevin declared.

"I've heard the new roller coaster here is amazing. Let's try it first!" Karishma exclaimed excitedly.

"And don't forget the arcade games! I want to show off my skills," Kana added.

They spent the morning riding roller coasters, playing games, and enjoying various park attractions. Mei, who had initially been nervous, found herself laughing and having a great time.

"I didn't think I'd enjoy this so much. Thanks for convincing me to come," Mei said cheerfully.

"I told you it would be fun. It's good to see you enjoying yourself," Kevin replied.

In the afternoon, they gathered for lunch at a park café, chatting and sharing stories. Mei and Kevin sat together, enjoying their meal.

"Hey Kevin, how about a rematch at the crane game? I bet I can win a plushie this time," Su playfully challenged.

"You're on! But I warn you, I've got a winning streak," Kevin laughed.

Just as the group was starting to wind down, Kevin's phone suddenly died, and he experienced a sharp headache. The amusement park, filled with laughter and excitement, was abruptly interrupted by a sudden blackout. The lights flickered and then went out completely, plunging the park into darkness.

"Everyone, stay calm. It looks like we have a blackout," Kevin said, trying to keep his voice steady.

"What's going on? This doesn't feel right," Karishma remarked nervously.

"I'm not sure, but it's really eerie," Kana added.

Kevin quickly assessed the situation, noticing that electric cars in the parking lot had stalled and only a few fuel-engine vehicles were still functional.

"We need to stay together and stay alert. I'm going to check if we can get to a safer location," Kevin instructed.

With the group following closely, Kevin led them out of the park. The city was chaotic, with cars abandoned in the streets and people panicking. They made their way to Senba Academy, hoping it would offer a safer refuge.

"We should be safe here. The academy has multiple exits, so we can evacuate quickly if needed," Kevin reassured them.

As they arrived, Kevin tried to keep everyone calm. However, just as he was reassuring them, a deafening explosion rocked the city. The sky darkened almost instantly, and lightning began to streak across the horizon.

"What is happening?!" Karishma cried out.

"It looks like something big is going on. Stay close and keep your heads down," Kevin instructed.

Suddenly, a colossal serpent with a black shell and green highlights, along with a massive four-armed Honkai beast, appeared, rampaging through the city. The devastation was swift and overwhelming.

"This is insane! What are we going to do?" Kana shouted.

"We can't just stay here! We need to find somewhere safer!" Karishma added, her voice trembling.

The other Kendo girls murmured anxiously, their fear palpable.

"We need to stay here and stay safe. We'll wait for more information and see if we can get help," Kevin said firmly.

The 3rd Honkai Eruption had struck Nagazora, plunging the city into chaos as Kevin and his friends huddled together, trying to find a way out.

A large amount of Honkai energy dispersed in every direction, sending shockwaves throughout the area.

"Everyone, stop moving and come near me! Quickly!" Kevin shouted, urgency clear in his voice.

The group snapped into action, hurrying to gather around him with confusion and fear etched on their faces.

"Kevin, what's happening?" Karishma asked frantically.

"No time to explain! Just stay close!" Kevin replied.

He could sense the Honkai energy approaching at an alarming speed. Quickly conjuring a barrier using his manipulation of space, he formed a protective shield around them to prevent the wave of Honkai energy largely affecting everyone.

The suffocating sensation that had gripped them moments ago vanished, replaced by a chilling cold seeping through their spines.

"Kevin, are you... manipulating space?" Su asked, wide-eyed.

"How is this possible?" Mei added, astonished.

Kevin didn't have time to explain. He knew the massive wave of Honkai energy had passed, but the threat wasn't over.

As the barrier held, they noticed people and animals outside transforming into zombies and other grotesque creatures. The park was in chaos, with people running in all directions, chased by zombies, oversized insects, and terrifyingly mutated animals.

"What's happening to them?!" Kana panicked.

"Everyone, stay calm. We'll get through this," Kevin reassured.

Some girls started screaming, and Kevin tightened his grip on the metal rod he had pulled from the ground. Su and Kevin reassured the group, trying to keep them focused.

"Everything will be alright. We need to stay together," Su said firmly.

Kevin's heart ached as he saw people bleeding, screaming, and crying for help. He knew he couldn't save everyone, but he had to protect those he could.

"We need to get to my apartment," Kevin ordered.

They then ran to their apartment.

Various zombies and Honkai beasts lunged at them. Kevin swung the metal rod, smashing the heads of the zombies. His blows were so strong that the monsters burst with every hit.

As he killed three more zombies, he heard a notification from his system:

*Kill one hundred Honkai monsters and get 1% of the Kevin Kaslana template.*

With renewed determination, Kevin continued to fight. He and Su beat back countless zombies and beasts, clearing a path for their friends.

Kevin's blows were swift and precise, each strike bursting the heads of the monsters. By the time they reached his apartment, he had killed over a hundred Honkai creatures. The way he skillfully dispatched them was shocking to everyone.

Kevin noticed lightning and thunder rumbling in the sky, a clear sign of the birth of the Herrscher of Lightning. Every piece of technology and electronics in Nagazora had stopped working, the result of an EMP attack orchestrated by the Herrscher.

As they finally made it inside his apartment, Kevin heard a congratulations notification from his system:

Congratulations! You have obtained 1% of the Kevin Kaslana template.

Breathing heavily, Kevin turned to his friends. "We're safe for now. Let's rest and regroup."Inside the apartment, everyone took a moment to catch their breath.

Kevin had enough rations to last for five days, having prepared for such an emergency. The initial panic began to settle, but the tension in the air was palpable.

With even 1% of Kevin Kaslana strength it is enough to easily defeat any honkai beast below Emperor class. Kevin thought..
