A door screeched open, and a figure stepped into the room. The footsteps were steady as they approached the study table. 

Inserting the keys into the locked drawer, the person removed the envelope and closed it before quietly leaving the room.

Sprinting through the corridor, the individual opened another door and entered the room before closing it from the inside.

Eveline let out a shaky breath as she realized she was committing a malicious act. She never imagined she would stalk or investigate her father, but after what they learned from Jacob, she could not sit still.

She quickly made her way to her bed, sat down, and opened the invitation card.

Eveline's eyes widened as the handwriting was erased and threatening words appeared on it.

"Dad knew his life was in danger. Then why did he not protect himself?" Eveline felt betrayed, and the person who did so was her own father.
