Bab 199: He knew it

Susan arrived home from work only to discover the house deserted.

The lights were turned off, and there was a pindrop silence that piqued her interest.

"Is he still not home?" She mumbled and hastily turned on the lights.

When she arrived home yesterday, Jacob had already fallen asleep.She didn't bother asking him anything and immediately changed for bed.

Susan had to leave the house early since she promised breakfast, and she was astonished to find that her husband was not inside.

She assumed he went out as usual, but a full day had passed and there was no sign of his return.

"Should I call him?" She hesitated and reached for the phone from her handbag, dialing his number, but to her astonishment, the call did not go through because his phone was turned off.

Susan was now concerned about where Jacob had gone, but her gaze rested on something, and she swiftly reached out to pick it up.
