Near refusal, Lian revised his plan—to pacify Vin, then report to Young Master Smith. An ideal approach.

Refusal meant Lian's replacement, endangering Young Master Smith. Considering this, Lian inquired with a grin,

"This loser? Let's hear your plan."

"I'm arranging a camping trip in the wild, encouraging your men to take him into the forest and cause an 'accident; sparing them risk, and leaving you above suspicion," Vin craftily suggested over a sip of wine.

"You're quite cunning. But are you sure he'll agree?" Lian was curious, seeking full disclosure to inform Young Master Smith.

Lian wanted to know all of Vin's plans and calculations in detail beforehand so he could report everything to Young Master Smith.

"His girlfriend's friend Fiona returns tomorrow, a camping enthusiast. It's settled if Diona can be enticed, then invite Lina and Erwin, guaranteeing my plan!" Vin reflected confidently.
