Bab 38: Chapter 38: Collision of Laws, This Is the Battle of Gods

Iapetus remained silent. He gazed deeply at Hades, feeling as if his vision blurred momentarily. In front of him stood not just any figure, but one reminiscent of the Titan God-King himself.

"Hades," Iapetus said softly, "I see a familiar shadow in you."

"Father," replied Hades.

Iapetus didn't respond further. Instead, his divine power surged around him, materializing into a Dimensional Blade. This blade, infused with countless laws summoned from other worlds, descended, causing the surrounding Titans to rapidly retreat.

A battle between two Chief Gods of the Titans was not something the other Titans could involve themselves in. They were ambitious but not foolish. Facing a Chief God like Hades was beyond their capacity for profit or engagement.

However, before Iapetus's Dimensional Blade could strike, it was swallowed by darkness. Observing the laws of darkness displayed by Hades, Iapetus became even more certain.

Hades had elevated all the laws governed by the Lord of the Underworld to the level of a Chief God of the Titans, enabling him to step into this higher realm.

"How did you do it?" Iapetus's divine thoughts flashed as more Dimensional Blades fell. As the God of Dimensions, his mastery over dimensional laws was unparalleled.

Yet, Iapetus found it strange. Hades had transcended his original constraints in a manner that seemed almost impossible.

But Hades wouldn't answer Iapetus. It was as if he were showing off his skills—darkness, destruction, devouring, decay, aging…

Various laws were manipulated effortlessly in his hands. With a thought, Hades condensed a Blade of Laws, formed by over a hundred different laws, and thrust it toward Iapetus.

This was the collision between gods—no fancy tricks, just a pure clash of laws and divine power. Both Hades and Iapetus were not gods known for intricate mastery or delicate control. In such a situation, their confrontation boiled down to a straightforward collision of laws and divine energy.

Both gods mixed their respective laws with divine power, forming an energy ball-like mass, which they hurled at each other. There were no elaborate maneuvers or complex techniques.

Dimensions shattered, darkness fragmented, and their brief exchange ended in a stalemate.

"Chief Gods of the Twelve Titans," Hades remarked calmly, "Indeed, as uncles and aunts, your mastery over your divine power and control over the laws has reached an extreme."

Unable to win. Unwilling to lose.

This was the conclusion Hades reached from his brief exchange with Iapetus. It was a draw. If it came to a life-and-death struggle?

That was uncertain. After all, Iapetus still had the power of the True God and the Ultimate Power at his disposal, while Hades had the foundational strength of the Magic Star River World Tree.

Both gods had their own reserves, but in the short term, it was unlikely to determine a clear winner.

Hades quietly stated, "Iapetus, let's end this here."

"Let's end it," Iapetus agreed, shaking his head slightly. There was no need to continue; it was pointless. Unless he ignited the Divine Emblem to utilize the Ultimate Power, merely relying on the True God might not be enough to defeat and kill Hades.

Hades turned and left quietly. Iapetus did not stop him, and the other observing Titans naturally did not intervene either. With the power of invisibility, Hades gradually disappeared completely.

"What a formidable young god!" Iapetus exclaimed, "In Hades, I seem to see the shadow of His Majesty. Coeus, what do you think?"

Beside Iapetus, a figure with short, pale gold hair stepped forward—it was Coeus, the God of Black Lightning and one of the Twelve Titan Chief Gods.

Coeus, known as the Sage, was an unparalleled intellect among the Twelve Titans, possibly surpassed only by the prophet Prometheus.

"Hades…" Coeus smiled, "Iapetus, it's quite normal. After all, he is His Majesty's eldest son. With such potential and talent, isn't it to be expected?"

"Indeed, it is to be expected," Iapetus acknowledged.

Coeus, with a smile, continued, "Iapetus, how do you plan to accomplish His Majesty's task next? Hades won't be easy to kill."

"After this test, next time, we will be more prepared. If all else fails…" Iapetus paused briefly. If necessary, he would ignite the Divine Emblem.

The power of the Ultimate Power was something incomprehensible to those who had not mastered it. The Ultimate Power, much like an advanced cultivation technique, was formidable beyond measure.

The new generation of gods, led by Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus, whether they were Titans or other gods, cultivated the Will of the Gods, a force beyond the small cosmos yet still far inferior to the Ultimate Power.

The difference was like this: a single point of attack power with the small cosmos might be just one point. With the sixth sense, seventh sense, or eighth sense enhancing the small cosmos, the power might reach up to a thousand points.

In contrast, the Will of the Gods could amplify this to a hundred thousand points or more, while the Ultimate Power could elevate it to unimaginable heights, adding several more zeros to the figure. This was the terror of the Ultimate Power.

Especially in aspects like divine power absorption, law comprehension, faith extraction, godly domain construction, and so on, everything would receive a significant boost.

To Iapetus, once he employed the Ultimate Power, even if his mastery was not complete, it would make Hades absolutely incapable of withstanding him. At that point, Hades would be undoubtedly defeated.

"…"

Coeus remained silent for a moment. He wanted to remind Iapetus that it might not be that simple. But the words didn't come out. Every Chief God of the Titans had immense confidence. Gods, after all, were inherently self-centered beings.
