Bab 279: Greatest Mistake

"Currently, the president is contemplating if he should stop helping us," Bruce said as he took a few sips of his shots, then squeezed his eyes shut when he felt the burn in his throat. 

"How's that even possible? The president has already agreed for us to smuggle some illegal weapons into the country. This isn't the first time we've been doing that. Why the sudden change?" Mr Wallace nearly barked, his pulse vibrating underneath his skin as he tried to control his anger. 

Bruce gestured for him to take a seat and he quickly did so. 

"According to him, Jeffrey paid him an unwanted visit, asking him to give him a name."

When Mr Wallace heard Jeffrey's name, a cold shudder ran down his spine. He gripped the glass Bruce had poured him a few shots in and gulped it down with one swift motion. 

"Did he give a name?" He managed to ask.
