Hyuman Town - 3rd POV
Makoto looked at the guild rankings, then decided to leave. "Alright, time to leave. Let's just come up with some reason..." But he was soon stopped as he noticed Tomoe and Mio holding a red paper.
Panicked, he used his magic to write, "I told you to wait!" Tomoe, seeing it instantly, replied, "I-I only touched the paper and it instantly turned red." The receptionist stammered, "Um, this paper can only reach up to 400."
Makoto, hearing this, sighed as he used his magic to write, "They are capable of beating monsters like alkeys, please use your biggest paper." The receptionist, hearing this, immediately did so.
After a few seconds, a receptionist with dog ears appeared. "This goes up to 1600." Makoto noticed the other adventurers looking at them. "Ugh, we're standing out." "Tomoe, you go first."
"Yes~," Tomoe happily answered as she grabbed the piece of paper. "Your registration is complete, Madam Tomoe. You are rank E and... Level 1320," the receptionist said as she handed Tomoe her guild card.
"Y-You're the second highest leveled adventurer in the entire guild," she finished as Tomoe tilted her head and asked, "Could you tell me about the person ranked first then?"
The receptionist nodded. "Y-yes, of course. The person above you in rank is the Magic Knight Adam Sandler with a level of 1600," she said.
**Somewhere:**
In the heart of the volcanic crater, amidst the searing heat and billowing smoke, stood a solitary figure clad in heavy knight armor. A fire elemental dragon regarded the armored individual with a mixture of curiosity and wariness.
From his towering vantage point on the rugged cliffs encircling the caldera, the dragon observed the armored figure below. Despite the intense heat radiating from the molten lava and the oppressive atmosphere of the volcanic landscape, the knight remained steadfast and undeterred.
The knight's armor, forged from some rare metals and enchanted with protective spells, glinted in the fiery light, its surface marred by the scars of countless battles. Beneath the helmet, only the faintest hint of the individual's features could be discerned, obscured by the haze of smoke and ash.
As the elemental dragon stayed in the air, preparing to unleash a devastating blast of fire breath upon the knight below, the heavy knight acted. With a single swing of their sword, they sliced through the dragon's body vertically, severing it in the air. The dragon then plummeted to the ground, the creature now reduced to a lifeless heap of smoldering flesh and scales.
"Looks like imbuing cleave in this sword... eh, no one would know," the heavy-armored knight said as he placed his sword back into its sheath.
