Bab 74: Steven's Plan

Gabriel Thorn sat alone in a dimly lit room, nursing a glass of whiskey. The air was thick with the scent of alcohol and his simmering rage. Selene had cut contact, Steven had disappeared, and he had been stonewalled by the Crimson Veil. His plans were unraveling, and he was left cursing his allies, his enemies, and especially Lucien.

"Damn them all," he muttered, taking a long, bitter sip. "Damn Victor, damn Lucien, and damn the Crimson Veil for their cowardice."

He slammed the glass down on the table, the sound echoing through the empty room. His mind raced with thoughts of revenge and frustration. He had meticulously planned every move, every step to bring Victor and Lucien to their knees, yet it seemed fate was conspiring against him.

"Lucien," he spat, his eyes narrowing. "Someone who never appreciated me, never saw what I could do. And now, he's working with Victor, making a mockery of everything."
