Bab 20: Chapter 20: Uncomfortable

Zarniya did not know when it was over or how it ended, she only knew that she was about to go back to her safe haven, seeing on the window of the carriage her castle.

She regained her senses and looked around, Messiah was sitting beside her, holding her hand with intertwined fingers and their hands were resting on his thigh. His eyes were closed, and he was sitting and leaning comfortably on her with his head hanging low. But he was too tall, he could not rest his head on her low shoulder. She could only feel his weight body, he was heavy.

He was asleep.

She wondered how he could relax after what he did at the party. He looked so peaceful right now.

She was thinking that she should be angry with him because he caused all this. However, on second thought, Messiah was a slave who was powerless in the surge of the monarch's whim. Despite his arrogant attitude, he was nevertheless, the most innocent.

She redirected her attention outside the window.
