Bab 106: Just a knock away..

Now that everyone had gone their separate ways, Eiravyne stood alone, watching Ilkar as he walked away. 

She couldn't believe that even after he had kissed her so tenderly and worried about her so much, he would say something like that. 

She was used to rejection from everyone, even from him, but after last night, she had thought he might start treating her a bit better. 

Seeing him with his brother and sister, talking and interacting like a family, stirred feelings within her that she had long buried. 

She remembered her own little brother and sister, and for a fleeting moment, she wished that they didn't abuse her and just treated her like a big sister . 

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. The isolation and rejection she felt now were sharper than ever.
