Bab 212: A Secret Family

Leila and Xavier did not think further about the Smith family. 

The two of them knew the monument was completely broken when they saw the ghost of John Smith's first wife behind him. She would likely haunt him even as he started experiencing the backlash of bad lack. 

Xavier took Leila for a nice meal in a private restaurant, making sure they were not seen by nosy people who might reveal Leila's whereabouts. Xavier also enjoyed having all of Leila's attention to himself. 

Leila often got distracted quickly when she saw something or someone interesting, and her mind would run a mile a minute, thinking about it. It was an adorable quirk, but he also liked having her full attention once in a while. 

The two of them talked about nothing in particular as they settled and ordered their food. Leila talked more while Xavier listened, sharing his thoughts at intervals. However, Leila suddenly changed the topic.
