Bab 197: Cruel Hearts

Renaud felt his views being refreshed after hearing her question. 

He had never met a girl like Leila who did not have the heart of a gentle lady. Shouldn't a normal girl sympathise with the plight of people who were used as sacrifices instead of suggesting outright murder?

Of course, he did not know that Leila grew up with old people who were always blunt and clear except when they were scheming against her. She knew they were conniving because she heard them laughing about it behind her back. 

They were boasting about how they knew how to make her learn without knowing they tricked her. She tolerated them because they were all like her grandparents. However, her personality became as direct as they were with each other. 

The other people she dealt with were her subordinates, who were basically crooks, and the arrogant members of the Muses group. She could not afford to have a gentle personality among these types of people.
