When Callum spoke those words, he was not sure if he was talking about Sterling feeling like everything had fallen out of control. Or he was referring to the fact that Sterling would never be able to have another mate of his choice? He did not know...

Maybe, he also wanted to assuage his guilt concerning hiding that Sterling was his bloodflame for years. Either way, he was willing to do whatever it took to make things a little better for Sterling. 

"I want to give you a mating bite," Sterling said as if he were asking for something as simple as a cup of tea or coffee. 

His eyes still had a strange intensity, but Callum did not doubt that he was completely serious. His eyes were almost glowing with a strange light that had nothing to do with his world.
