Bab 150: Fragmented Memories

The young man was not only fast. His movement technique was a little ephemeral, almost impossible to predict. His attack was vicious, aiming to destroy Xavier in one move. 

This was the skill of assassins. 

Xavier was familiar with most of the skills of professionals in the different levels of the world. Therefore, he could recognise the style of an assassin. Most of them had a light physical stature and focused on results. 

They did not waste time on a prolonged type and took action with the intention of killing immediately. This particular one hiding on Leila's balcony was one of the best he had encountered outside of the supernatural world. 

He could not be a complete or pure human based on his concealment and movement techniques. However, Xavier did not recognise the specific nature of the person. It reminded him of something Sterling said about Isaiah Campbell. 

There was an unnaturalness to his scent.
