Bab 143: Yin-Yang Eye

Leila tensed up a little before she relaxed. It was inevitable to meet someone who could see through her, even with the treasures she had to conceal her true form. A yin-yang master could see through most façades. 

Their eyes were designed to look through the pretences of human life and detect the spiritual. Since this man seemed to have achieved a high level of power, he would be able to see the wolf within her. 

"It is indeed a bit of an inconvenience," Leila replied. "I suppose you would feel the same as we do about contact if you were possessed by a ghost."

Renaud thought he would destabilise the girl by exposing her secret. She had taken a lot of measures to look like a harmless human, but he knew right away she was a werewolf. Seeing through people was a gift and a curse.
