Bab 87: Run If You Dare

Xavier looked at Leila with care, trying to make sure she was completely fine after the poisoning and the treatment. 

In his eyes, she did not know how to properly take care of herself. It was not that he thought she was useless, but he found her approach to important things a little reckless. Since that moment they met at the lakeside to the argent silver poisoning, she had a penchant for finding danger. 

The intense look from Xavier made Leila feel a little awkward. She lowered her head shyly before reminding herself she needed to have a stronger backbone. She could not show weakness, especially after her feeble condition in the last few days. 

Xavier smiled a little because she was more or less projecting her thoughts and feelings. He could feel her embarrassment, conflict and bravado as if it was his own emotions. But the feelings were still foreign because he never experienced them before personally.
