They all nodded. None of them wanted Gilbert to leave the competition and drop out of Coach Marlon's starting lineup. So they did not argue or feel jealous of the permission.

Kein was silent for a moment. Their opponent was not a team that could be underestimated or had poor skills like Young Bourg. Rather than that, Kein was more concerned about the internal issues between himself and their captain. So far, he hadn't thought about the problem at all, whether it was during training or when he was idle.

But as soon as he saw Lucas in front of him, somehow his brain immediately responded and replayed the events during last year's competition and when they were still in the same school. It's hard to control something that's out of our reach and can never be forced. Unless Lucas was the one who started to put those issues aside and stay focused on the victory and the process, not the previous issues that were brought up every time they met.
