Bab 112: Background Check

A sports car stopped in front of Dominic's company building, and Alexa got out of the car shortly after. Without hesitation, Alexa smiled as other employees who recognized her presence immediately greeted her politely. Alexa entered the special elevator to Dominic's office because she had made an appointment with her husband beforehand. When Alexa got out of the elevator, she met Jasper, who seemed to be just about to get off to welcome her arrival.

"Dominic is waiting?" Alexa asked Jasper. The man nodded. "He's been waiting for you inside and has nothing to do for the next few hours," he said to reassure Alexa. Alexa nodded as she continued her steps back. As soon as she entered her husband's quiet office, Alexa saw her husband staring at the laptop in front of him with a slightly furrowed brow.

"I thought Jasper had told me that you would be free for the next few hours. Now, what's with that serious expression, Dom?"
