Allen's steps slowed, his brows furrowing as he noticed boxes inside Atlas's office. When he stepped inside, he stopped, completely confused by the sight before him.
Atlas's office wasn't grand, as he liked his working space spacious. Aside from the countless books on the bookshelves in the corner and some pictures of his family, there wasn't much in it. Now, however, the office was completely vacated.
All the books on the bookshelves were now in boxes, the painting on the wall was unmounted, and the minimalist decorations that gave life to this space were also thrown in boxes. The office now looked completely empty, ready for someone else to occupy it.
"Director Bennet," Allen blurted out, shifting his eyes from the boxes to the man seated behind the desk. "What is the meaning of this? How could you come into the CEO's office and touch Sir Atlas's things?!"
