Bab 104: I'm not going anywhere

After saying those words, Valerie soon fell asleep in the car. She was still sick so it was inevitable.

Max held her to himself, resting her head on his thighs and gently stroking her hair. He has this contended smile on his face. It had been a while since they were together like this.

He really missed her.

Jeremy, from the passenger's seat, subtly stole a glance at his boss through the rearview mirror, and seeing such a smile on his face, he concluded that his boss had indeed fallen for Valerie.

He had never seen him smile like that at anyone else. Even the smile and expressions he put up for his sister whom he adored were completely different from this.

That warmth in his eyes belonged to Valerie and Valerie alone.
