Bab 344: Ch 344: An Expected attack

Zhu Li made a complicated face. There was much he wanted to ask Rika, but when he decided to open his mouth, words escaped his mind.

'I am such a coward! I need to stand up and speak about what I am thinking. But every time I want to do that, my body freezes up. Shit! I knew I should have gone to therapy for this stuff.'

Even if Zhu Li said, he knew he would not go to therapy. His problem stemmed from his long-term family abuse, but it was all verbal and nothing physical.

It was shameful for a dominant alpha like him to be stumped by such a thing, and Zhu Li did not want anyone to know what had happened to him.

That was why he wouldn't let this bother him. It was the only way he could preserve any pride he had.

"Do you want to ask me something?"

Rika asked innocently, but that question was like a jab to Zhu Li. He wanted to ask her so much but had no courage to speak out loud.

In the end, he just shook his head and looked away.
